These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
